Small Business Marketing Suggestions
Paid Marketing Channels
Paid marketing helps Sponsors drive immediate traffic and capture local leads. Key paid marketing channels include:
- Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising
- Platforms like Google Ads and Bing Ads allow small businesses to bid on keywords, promoting their CliquePrize® giveaways to highly targeted, local audiences based on search intent
- Programmatic Display Advertising (Mobile Apps)
- Automated ad placements on mobile apps can reach Contestants based on their behavior, demographics, and location. This method ensures targeted visibility on mobile devices, especially iPhones since CliquePrize® is an iOS app, where customers are most active; local targeting is far more accurate on mobile than desktop
- Email Marketing & SMS Text Messaging
- Sending personalized emails and SMS texts to potential leads using a low cost CRM such as HelloLeads can nurture leads for conversion. SMS marketing boasts high open rates and can be used for time-sensitive offers
- GeoFencing
- Target customers of your nearest competitors with Mobile Banners; these banners can promote your CliquePrize® giveaway as a way to "trial" your small business by offering an Enter-To-Win promotion in One-Click; The banner will only appear on the customer's iPhone if that Contestant physically walked into your competitor's location
- Affiliate Marketing (Using CliquePrize® Publisher Management)
- Sponsors can manage third-party affiliate website Publishers to promote their CliquePrize® giveaways; Publishers get 1 (ONE) point for each Contestant that clicks on the Sponsor's banner and creates a valid Contestant account on CliquePrize®; Publishers can redeem those points into prizes for themselves
- Social Media Ads
- Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok ads can add incremental lift for capturing leads through engaging content; promoting your CliquePrize® giveaways on Social Media can be shared, liked or followed, which can increase your social presence
Organic Marketing Channels
Organic marketing methods help small businesses attract leads without direct ad spend. These include:
- SEO & Content Marketing
- Creating blog posts, landing pages, and video content optimized for search engines helps attract traffic from Google and Bing
- Social Media Engagement
- Regular posting and interaction on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn can help build brand awareness and organic reach
- Guest Blog Posting (Third-Party Sites)
- Writing content for industry-relevant blogs and local news sites can drive local referral traffic
Offline Marketing Strategies
While digital channels are crucial, offline marketing methods can further amplify reach:
-
Direct Mail
- Sending postcards or flyers with a QR code leading to the CliquePrize® Bullseye! page helps convert offline interest into online engagement.
-
Urinal Advertising
- Ads placed in high-traffic restroom locations (bars, stadiums, and malls) provide captive audience exposure -
Local Sponsorships (Youth Sports Teams, Community Events)
- Supporting local sports teams or events fosters goodwill and brand awareness in the community
Importance of a Strong Call to Action (CTA)
Every marketing effort should lead to a clear and compelling CTA directing potential customers to a trackable landing page. On CliquePrize®, this is the Bullseye! screen, capturing essential customer data (name, email, mobile, and zip code) is easy with a local, digital promotion. Your FREE Bullseye! screen is automatically listed in the local, Bullseye! Directory for your Metro Market and includes your Small Business summary, address (linked to Google Maps), phone, website, hours/days of operation, social media links as well as all of your current CliquePrize® promotions. You can also reserve your own custom handle name such as "@raybagels" which will deep-link to your Bullseye! screen.
- Ray's Bagels CTA: For example, "Enter to win the Rays Bagels Party Pack (250 mini bagels)! Visit www.cliqueprize.com/@raysbagels."
Measuring Marketing Success
To ensure cost-effective marketing, Sponsors should track:
- Cost Per Lead (CPL):
- How much is spent to capture a lead on CliquePrize® or any other channel?
- Cost Per Sale (CPS):
- How much is spent to convert a lead into a paying customer?
- Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) vs. Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs):
- MQLs: Leads showing initial interest
- SQLs: Leads ready to purchase
- CliquePrize® Sponsors can customize their MQL-to-SQL conversion rate (default: 10%)
