A 50/50 raffle is a popular fundraising format where 50% of the total money raised from ticket sales goes to the winner, and the remaining 50% is kept by the Sponsor. It’s a straightforward and enticing option for Contestants since they know the more tickets sold, the larger the prize pool.

CliquePrize® provides a secure platform for managing ticket assignments and selecting prize winners, ensuring fairness and transparency in the raffle process. There's a donation start and end date and a draw date (with exact time) setting inside the app. However, because CliquePrize® does not allow cash prizes. Sponsors using this format must adapt their prize distribution approach.

Since CliquePrize® does not permit cash giveaways, Sponsors can opt to award gift certificates instead of cash. Gift certificates are an excellent alternative that aligns with the app’s guidelines while still providing valuable prizes to winners.

Why does CliquePrize® prohibit cash prizes?

This is mainly due to legal constrictions as cash prizes are considered lotteries and can only be administered by the state or with the appropriate licenses.

How To Set Up A CliquePrize® Raffle

• Step 1: Setting Ticket Values for Donations

The Sponsor first determines how many raffle tickets are allocated for each dollar amount donated. For example, by default the app assigns:

$1 = 1 raffle ticket
$2 = 2 raffle tickets
$3 = 3 raffle tickets
$5 = 5 raffle tickets
$10 = 10 raffle tickets
and so on.

Sponsors also have the flexibility to assign different ticket amounts for custom donation tiers, as long as the minimum allocation rules are followed.

• Step 2: Sharing Donation Codes

Once the donation amount and corresponding tickets have been assigned by the Sponsor, CliquePrize® will generate a unique donation code for each donation tier. Sponsors can distribute this code to Contestants at the time of their donation, enabling them to unlock their raffle tickets within the app. So if the Contestant donated $2 and the Sponsor assigned 2 tickets, then the Contestant will receive 2 unique digital tickets for that donation. The Sponsor would share the $2 donation code with the Contestant to get access to their tickets inside the app.

Remote Access: If a Contestant cannot attend the raffle in person, the Sponsor can email the donation code to them after confirming the receipt of the donation. This inclusive approach ensures that all participants, regardless of location, have a chance to enter.

• Step 3: Maximum Limits for Tickets and Donations

To maintain organization and prevent over-allocation, each raffle can accommodate up to 5,445 tickets and a total of $2,740 in donations. This ensures a well-managed fundraising process and an efficient winner selection system.

• Step 4: Randomized Winner Selection

After all tickets are distributed, CliquePrize® uses a randomized algorithm to draw winners fairly. The Sponsor again can set the donation start date and end date as well as the draw date inside the app. All of this can occur on the same day if you choose.

All CliquePrize® raffles are private promotions. This ensures a secure and exclusive experience for Contestants. To enter a raffle, Contestants must first unlock the raffle using a unique QR code or a 4-digit code (as a fail safe). The Sponsor shares the QR code and 4 digit code to the Contestants during the donation period. It can be done in person or via email or text. This approach makes CliquePrize® raffles more focused and accessible, without requiring location-specific details.

• Enhanced security: Only raffle Contestants with access to the QR code or 4-digit code can enter to win, preventing unauthorized entries.
• Universal accessibility: Since location is not relevant, Contestants can enter from anywhere by simply scanning the QR code or entering the provided 4-digit code to unlock the raffle inside the app. It will appear on the home screen of the invited Contestant
• State Restrictions and Compliance: Aligning with Local Laws. By default, CliquePrize® does not offer raffles in specific states where online or digital raffles are restricted by law.
